Welcome Cooter! Please UPDATE your bio-LOC so that we know where you're from.
I am not sure I understand your post. Are you looking for some help re-building your Concept 30 or are you searching for parts?

Hi Cooter, Concept stuff can be hard to find...especially 'DX' parts...I have one that belongs to a friend but its not worth rebuilding...which is a shame because they are a nice looking Heli.
Welcome to this site, its a great site where most questions are answered, sometimes within hours if not moments, there are some very skilled and handy folk who are members. I am very new to the hobby and dont have the benefit of locally available experience...this site has been very useful.

In sense you are right. It has been discontinued for so many years but there are still parts out there. If there were no parts I wouldn't be able to keep my two Concept SR's in the air. With the last incarnation of the Concept 32 VR the "parts train" had just a little more life that was only recently discontinued. It just takes a little leg work to find them. eBay is about the best junk yard there is and if you look now there are quite a few Concept parts available. I wouldn't recommend that the Concept 30 be a "training" helicopter at this point in time but it is extremely nice to fly and to have around.

Hi Wayne, The SR could be bought through one of the main RC suppliers in the UK...Ripmax is the company name.
Kyosho have been since dropped by this company...they deal mainly with Hirobo now.
I was curious, still am, about the DX; I noticed that on the main shaft...the collective actually slides down...the pitch rods being attached to the rear of the blade grips....is or was this normal for some models? I noticed the fitting wasnt very substantial...indeed the one I was looking at had actually failed at some point.
E bay is very useful, I have only looked once or twice...the Concept DX I have here could fly...with some patience and tender loving care....but its likely to get trashed as the owner thinks nothing of trying to fly the thing in a garage.
I really do like the 'old' helis, very very interesting.

Rob it is the nature of the beast. Companies like Ripmax in the United Kingdom and Tower Hobbies/Great Planes here in the States will be around forever. The "product line" that they carry will be about the only thing that changes. In my opinion I think the change is well for the good.
On the DX, SR, SR-T, SR-X and VR models the collective moves the same way. The pitch rods attach at the trailing edge of the grip. I find it odd when I see the pitch rods at the front of the blade in some set-ups. But in the end the purpose is served and the job is done. I will keep flying my Concepts until I get rid of them or until I have to break into a museum to get parts for them.
Easy!
