In have a venture that's only two months old--only ran about two gallons through it. Went out yesterday and no gas comming to engin; found that the pickup in the tank had rotted off. Everyone should check often that line; or better yet replace it with a better piece of fuel tubing.
That is a fairly common occurence when using muffler pressure to pressurize the fuel system. Anyone that is using muffler pressure should change the clunk line in the tank about every 3 months when flying regularly. The by products from the exhaust being fed into the tank is what causes the fuel line to deterioate more often. On a closed loop system like the YS, I only change the clunk line when I think about it. On a muffler pressurized system I check the clunk line often and change it.
A friend got his Venture out to the field, had the shear mounts split with some damage to his heli just sitting the thing down. With a few mods you can fly the heck out of the thing. I would like to buy the fifty. I run mine till I cracked the frame halfs in one of my many crashes, Sure hate to ding my Caliber like I did the Venture.
