Today I was hovering at around 2 meter for pretty long with plenty of smoke before I landed,then I throttle it up agian , it went up, but in 2 seconds it started to get lean, the engine speed did not increase much, but it did not had any smoke, so I landed it, once it touched down the engine just quit. It got very very hot, so I left it to cool down first, before fireing it up again, but the engine never ran after that, when I got home to check I found that the throttle barrel could'nt move, it seem to be stuck by some kind of debris? or pebble. I am running a tt pro36 in the raptor 30.I am thinking of putting it an air filter(that is if I even fix that engine), but does any one know where can I get one that will fit in the r30?

I am not sure if you need an air filter on your Heli, but a Tmaxx truck air filter will fit on this engine. Where are you flying? Grass, asphalt. Hopefully someone else has more info on this idea.Chris

Mine done the same thing and when i checked it out i found the screw that holds the barrel came loose and let the barrel slide out a little and it stuck.
I used a little lok-tite on the screw and aint had no truble scence.

can your carb fully close?I think last time my carb could fully close(just think I have not taken out the engine for age), now it can leave a quite big gap , and also the carb cannot move very freely in the low throttle position,I have taken apart the whole carb, but I have found nothing.I fly on a piece of land that has carpet grass.

It could not close fully when the screw got loose just enough to foul it up.
it went lean when it done it and i had to pull the engine out to fix it.
When the barrel moves does it move in at low idle then move out when wide open?
BTW did you check the screw to see if it may have a bur on it? (just a thought)

I have found my problem the idle needle was close when I tried to adjust it, pretty amazing they have close by themselves in flight, luckily at that time I was only 2 metre away from the ground , if I was high up then the result would had been a crash

Not that completely unusual.You may want to remove the idle needle
and use a small bit of plumbers teflon tape
on the threads to prevent that.

I would think twice before going anywhere near your carburetor with teflon tape. Ask anyone who has ever worked around hydraulic controls what it can do to a small orfice!Steve
