Do I assume that bridge is not under construction, but constructed so that it can move with the glacier. How much does it move ? Do they drag it back to the original position when it warms up for it to move next freeze ?

MPA,
The old bridge, (Belton Bridge), spans the Flathead River and is several miles from the closest glacier. The bridge dates from 1920, but is now only a foot bridge. In the summer it is our take out spot for the evening kayak run. It's also a great place to enjoy a sunset with your favorate beverage and paddling brothers. Plus, 2 miles away is the West Glacier bar that serves up 3 fingers of Burbon topped off with Coke.
eyeisdee1,
No secrets, but I will say most of the work happens before I leave the ground with planning for optimum light conditions.
Torsten,
That balloon shot is killer!
What is the ballon that is closest to the camera?
Also, what is this?

Jeff,
the ballon closest is an elephant carrying some sort of decorated "box". it was pretty hazy that day, also this was the afternoon mass launch for the day. the shadows of the ballons on the ground are already pretty long. the balloners really liked it because they can usually only take pictures out of the departing pack of ballons. was good advertising too. : )
: ) the other one is a observation tower from which the first tv transmition was made. tower was build around 1900, the first tv transmition was sometime in the 50´s i guess. the markings on the roof semm to be from an high power antenna system. i presume they were painted on there so that workers would not step into the HF transmition and toast themself.
all the pictures were taken with a micado logo 20 brushless with 24 cells.

Looking at at now makes more sense (can see I havent a clue about glaciers), nice spot to rest and eat, before a Bourbon session up the road.

OK, let's see if I can figure out how to make some images from the gallery appear in my post.
This one is the Jetty leading into Newport Beach, CA:

And this one is up on one of the hills above:

I guess it is possible!
