Mike,

if I click on the link, I get a blank page with the tiny broken image in the upper left corner. So, I downloaded the clip, but it will not display in the Quick time player ... I get sound, but no imagery. Another person complained of this experience at the other site. Is the problem at our end or your's ?

thanks,

John

I didn't have any problem with quick time 6.0

Maybe download it here:

Quick time 6.0 worked for me, also. (In conjunction with Netscape 6.2)

Mike,
Excellent video, thanks for sharing it with us.
BTW- Did R/C Rodney ever think of dropping Bert from the skid while inverted?

I would have hate to see Bert tangling with the rotor - but that would have been pretty neat!

Being that the dang dogs got up to out I figured I have to finally take a look at this.

I thought I was twisted......that's some good stuff there Mike. I think I spent enough energy laughing I can get back to sleep now.

What was that Rodney was flying? A Schluter Champion?

Chris,

Yes! R/C Rodney was a Schulter Heli fan. He loved the Champion but always had a problem with that heavy electric starter!

After waiting almost 10 years, I have finally received permission to release this video to the public, showing hands-down some of the most amazing helicopter flying ever recorded.

He’s nick named; “R/C Rodney”. When you guys see Rodney fly, and what he can do with a helicopter, there will be no doubt in your mind that Rodney is; "The World’s Best Helicopter Pilot", even by today’s standards.

Linda and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Rodney in the early 90’s in Fort Lauderdale. We were so impressed with his flying abilities and his manner at the field, that we asked him if we could make this videotape of a typical day at the flying field. However, due to his modesty, up to now, he never allowed us to release the tape.

The QuickTime file is around 8 megs (7 minutes), for you guys (like me) with a dial up connection, it will take a while - but you’ll definitely want this video for your hobby use, to show to family members, clubs, etc., just how interesting our hobby really is!

You may distribute the tape on the Internet to your friends; however, we ask that you leave the video in tact with credits.

There is a download link on the Rotory site at the URL below. Just click on the R/C Rodney Video thread.
