Started my X-Cell today for the first time and it is not running to good. It won`t go much above 1/4 stick before it dies. Seems like it`s running out of fuel, smoke starts to get less and less then it poops out. I set the needle and low end like it said but still no luck. Also how much should the heli wobble on spool up? I know that it will wooble some but mine seems to have a pretty bad wooble. Blade tracking maybe? Thanks, Michael

How old is this engine. This sounds like the same sympton was when the cylinder use to come unscrewed in the crankcase. Has this engine ever had the mod to keep that from happening ?David

The engine is three years old but this is the first time that it has ever been started. As far as the mod goes...don`t know!Michael

Being that old my guess is the cylinder is unscrewed. Sounds like it needs a trip to Nevada to get it running correctly. But I don't know if they are still doing that mod since the engines come with already done and have for about 3 years now.David

I find it hard to believe that this being the only time that this engine has ever been run that it would be the cylinder. The heli was built three years ago and today was the first time the the engine has been cranked. I`t must be something simple that i`m over looking to as why it`s not running good.Michael

Before YS knew this was a problem and made the modification to keep it from happening I have seen brand new engines have this happen. Unless your not pressurzing the tank properly the symptons your describing are of the cylinder being twisted and unscrewed in the crankcase.David

Michael, I also have seen brand new YS91ACHs (the first batchs) come unscrewed in the first 5 minutes of running. I would send it to Richard Verano at Performance Specialties (YS USA) and have it inspected. Gordie

I own a YS 91 ACH. The same thing happened to me within the first ten minutes I started the engine. I sent it in (3-4 years ago) to YS and they fixed it for free.I would do one check and make sure your fuel tank is pressurized properly when you start it and if that is not problem, I would send it in to YS.

Before you send it in, try some new fuel. I was having the same exact problem with my 61WC. Dumped in some fresh juice from a new bottle and it ran like a champ.

Well tried to run the engine today...not good. So I decided to take the engine out and shipp it to YS Performance. We will see when it gets back to try and get it running again...Thanks for all the help Michael
