Hello All,
I am going to start this thread for Multiplex users but mainly for Profi 3030 and 4000 users.
We can trade information, techniques, and show that there are users and interest in having the Profi line continue on.
First item is the info for Ernie Pritchard .
For anyone who does not know about Ernie, Ernie did all of the service work for Multiplex Radios before the Hitech buyout of Multiplex. His work and Knowledge is of the first order! Ernie still does all repair and test and checkout on the Profi 3030 and 4000s.
In a conversation just a little while age Ernie told me that there is a non-user replaceable battery for memory backup that needs replacement every 4 or 5 years!
Every 2 or 3 years we should send our radios in for retuning and a general check up, the cost of this is much, much less than buying a new radio After the Crash!
