Wow! It sounds like the clutch shoes could have spread out enough to engage the clutch bell and it is not disengaging. I doubt the shoes have broken. I know you will hate to do this but you will have to go into that lovely fuselage and remove the mechanics to get to the clutch bell. You may have to re-line the clutch bell also. When was the last time you actually serviced it?
