8kw Generator L2 Blocking - The L2 blocking protocol mentioned above, also blocks one 120 volt leg of the Onan’s 8kw generator, thereby reducing the output from 60 to 30 amps. I came up with a fix on my Verona. By bonding the generators two 120 volt outputs together, it allows ether L1 or L2 to provide the full 60+ amps from the generators output. Note do not attempt this with Onan 10 & 12 kw or any dual phase generator, because they operate using two separate 120 volt legs. If shorted together they will produce 240 volt short circuit.

Split Phase 240 Volts - In order for our dual inverters to output 240 volts from shore power, the legs must be in phase, so one leg is low or negative, while the other 120 volt leg is high or positive. If we were to tap both 120 volt legs we obtain 240 volts at 100 amps using shore power.

When both inverters - Are using battery, the Multiplus split phase pair will create 240 volts as shown, except only at 25 amps per leg, for a total of 50 amps. Of course the neutral wire is not used or needed for 240 volts.
